William Broadwell - b: 27 Apr 1799 in Hamilton County, OH - married Margaret Stevenson on 15 Dec 1821 in Sangamon County, IL. William died 22 Nov 1824 in Old Sangamo, Sangamon County, IL. William and Margaret had 1 child, William B Broadwell - widow Margaret married Richard Latham.

Died, Wednesday, July 19, 1905, at his home in Kansas City, Kan., William Broadwell, aged 81 years. The remains were brought to this city yesterday and after short services in the chapel, interment was made in Oak Ridge cemetery. The remains were accompanied by his son, George Broadwell, and his daughter, Mrs. Wilcox.

For many years Mr. Broadwell lived in Logan county, where he was an extensive farmer and stock grower. He was the half brother of Henry C. Latham and Mrs. George H. Souther of this city, and Mrs. Henry Curtner and Mrs. J. H. McCullough of California.
