Casper Rea & Mildred Folgram

The marriage of Casper Rea, United States Reserve, of Camp Cody, and Miss Mildred Folgram of Hillsboro, was performed on Wednesday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Crawford on South Cooper avenue by Rev. W. E. Foulks in the presence of a few intimate friends of the contracting parties. Mr. Rea and Miss Folgram had met while they were students at the State College at Mesilla Park, and the wedding on Wednesday evening was the culmination of the romance that started in their student days. Mr. Rea was recently accepted as a candidate for a commission in the officers' reserve, and the bride has been engaged in extension work in connection with the State College at Hillsboro, and it was necessary for her to come to Deming, as Mr. Rea was unable to obtain leave from his duties at camp. Mrs. Folgram, the mother of the bride, came on from Los Angeles to be present at the wedding of her daughter, and Miss Minnie Moffitte of Lake Valley, another friend of the bride, also was present. Sherburn Ousterhout, a former student at the State College, was best man and Miss Joyce Rea, a sister of the groom, was bridesmaid. Mrs. Rea will return in a few days, after her honeymoon, to Hillsboro, to close up her work that she has been doing for the college, and will then return to Deming to be with her husband. Mr. and Mrs. Crawford have been intimate friends of Mrs. Folgram and her family for a number of years, having known them when they made their home in Sierra county.
