Harol Covel
Longtime area resident, Harold Floyd Covel of Scappoose, died Dec. 14, 1981 in Columbia District Hospital. He was 64.
Born on March 6, 1917 in Staples, Minn., Mr. Covel was a member of the St. Helens Moose Lodge and was a parishioner of St. Wenceslaus Catholic church in Scappoose.
Surviving are his wife; Ann; two sons; Bob of St. Helens and Bill of Sandpoint, Idaho; two daughters; Lucille Huffer of Scappoose and Gail Stinton of Sandpoint; five stepchildren; Roger, Ronald and Tom Kucera and Debbie Braum all of Scappoose and Jerry Kucera of Richland, Wash.; two brothers Gene Covel of San Diego and Luverne Covel of International Falls, Minn.; and three sisters Blanche Feister of Orlando, Fla., Millie Valley of San Bernadino, Calif., and Leona Erickson of International Falls.
A Christian Wake was held Tuesday with funeral services scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Wenceslaus Church. Interment will be in Columbia Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Scappoose.
Rushing's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
