BELLS - Services for Candy Archer, 61-year-old Bells resident, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4 at the Red River Cowboy Church in Sherman. Mrs. Archer died Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2008 at Wilson N. Jones Medical Center in Sherman.
Rev. Novice Northington, pastor of the church, will officiate. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Archer was born on Dec. 10, 1946 in Victoria, daughter of C.S. and Lela Baulcom Hatton and attended high school in Brownsboro. She married Coleman T. Archer on Jan. 15, 1966 in Athens.
Candy was employed at Texas Instruments from 1977-1992 and was a member of Red River Cowboy Church.
Candace Tonya Archer was a wonderful wife and mother to her family. She was very giving and always doing for others instead of for herself. She was loved by everyone she met and never met a stranger. She enjoyed sewing, decorating, crafts and spending time with her grandkids. She always had a smile and a positive attitude for life.
Surviving are her husband, Coleman Archer of Bells; sons, Terry Archer and wife, Amy and Todd Archer, all of Bells; brothers, Donald Hatton and wife, Bertha of Merchuson, Roger Hatton and wife, Janell of Kemp, Lyndal Hatton and wife, June of Bethany, and Phillip Hatton and wife, Surita of Athens; sisters, Peggy Davis and husband, Ford of Ben Wheeler, Phyllis Curtis and husband, Charles of Brownsboro, and Sandra Manbajano of Dallas; and grandchildren, Dillon and Delaney Archer of Bells.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Doris Townley.
