Mrs. Hodges
Mrs. Wesley (Vera May) Hodges died Sunday evening in Bixby Hospital where she had been a patient since May 10. Mrs Hodges had been in failing health for several years.
She was born June 11, 1917, in Alabama and was married to Wesley Hodges on Oct. 5, 1935, in Ardmore, Tennessee. They have been residents of the Adrian area for some 30 years. Mrs. Hodges had been employed by Bill Jenkins and Hurd Lock.
She is survived by her husband and sister, Mrs. Bessie Snyde, and by two brothers, Evelyn Burns of Douglas and James Lewter of Tecumseh. Also surviving are three other brothers and five sisters in Alabama. She was preceeded in death by her parents, two brothers and
one sister.
The body will be removed from the Everiss Funeral Home to Rainey Funeral Home in Ardmore, Tenn. where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m.. Burial will be in Gatlin Cemetery.
