Myrtle Sue Brown, 68, died this morning at her residence, Route 1, Alvarado.
She was born in Tennessee Mar.25,1889, the daughter of W.L. and Alex Daugherty Duncan. She was a member of the Bethany Methodist Church.
Besides her husband, James A.M.Brown of Route 1, Alvarado, Mrs. Brown is survived by two sons, A.A. Head, Route 1, Alvarado, A.W. Head, Roswell, N.M.; one step-son, Harold E. Brown of Grand Prairie; one step-daughter, Mrs. Eula Moody of Dallas; two brothers, A.H. Duncan, Lubbock; W.A. Duncan of California; two sisters, Mrs. J.E. Whitworth, Cleburne; Mrs. H.L.Bradford, Lubbock; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Brown will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Bethany Methodist Church with Rev. Rex Avery officiating. Burial will be in the Bethany Cemetery under the direction of Crosier-Pearson funeral home.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, J.O. Moody, Joe Elkington, Lawrence Head, Charles Head, Tommy Head and Billy Childers....Cleburne Times-Review
