Paul C. Bare, born near Lagro, Indiana. By 1910 he moved with his family to Benzie County, where he later retired. In 1919, he and his wife Ferne and 2 children moved to Flint to work in the auto industry, along with his brother Wilbur D. Bare and family. In the 1930s he bought a farm in Clio. He retired from Buick Motor Company in 1956. Surviving him were his son, Ira, of Clio, his daughter, Ardath Hall, of Honor, one brother John I. Bare of Lake Ann, and one sister Kitty Blome of Honor.
