He was married to Lida for 32 years until her passing in 1952. He married Maxine Leona Ellis Griffith on May 11, 1956 in Meridian, Idaho they had 3 children Melinda R. (1958-), Wayne Finis (1959-), and Darlene J. (1960-). He was married to Maxine for 26 years until his passing. He passed away March 9, 1983 in Idaho of a Heart Attack at the age of 90.
