JAMES W. COMER EXPIRES SUNDAY
James Wilson Comer, age eighty, resident of this city since 1865 and for many years a butcher here, died Sunday at 4:30 a.m. at his home, 1331 Main street, following an illness of three months.
He operated a butcher shop on Meridian street in the business district for a number of years, later moving the business to west Eighth street. He was a member of Anderson Lodge, No. 131, I.O.O.F., for 35 years and was a member of the Christian Church.
Surviving are a widow, Mrs. Sarah Comer; a son, Frank, Anderson, and a daughter, Mrs. John L. Williams, Vale, S.D.
The body was removed to the Baker Brothers funeral home, where services will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. H.L. Lanahan, pastor of the First U.B. Church, in charge. Burial was in East Maplewood.
