William E. "Pops" Moles of Dunbar departed this world and began his eternal life with Jesus on October 4, 2008. He was born July 12, 1925, in Mammoth, the eldest son of Austin James Moles and Mary Alice Wills Moles. On May 1, 1948, he married Wanda L. Sexton and enjoyed sixty years of marriage.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and an infant daughter.In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Terry and wife Michelle of Culloden; brothers, Bob and wife Dot of Leon, Jim and wife Jean of Dunbar, and Gary and wife Linda of Boulder City, Nev.; grandchildren, Brett Whitney of Sissonville, Michael Moles of Barboursville, and Kelly and Emily Moles of Culloden; great-granddaughter, Marisa Whitney of Sissonville; sister-in-law, Elsie Sexton of Columbus, Ohio; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Bill was a member of North Charleston Baptist Church, where he taught the Sanctuary Sunday school class, sang in the choir, and served as a deacon. He retired from BF Goodrich and Nova Corporation. He loved his family, his church, and the Lord. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
