Lydia was born 39 days after her father passed; she was the mother of eight.

On 15 February 1888, in Illinois District, Cherokee Nation, Indian Territory, USA, she married Louis Wolf Bruere and issued seven children (William, Louisa, Betty, Charles, Susan, Louis and Clarinda) before ending in divorce 10 January 1906, in Northern District, Indian Territory, USA.

Her second marriage, to Andrew G. Glenn, occurred 21 March 1907 in Vinita, Cherokee Nation, Indian Territory, USA and issued one child (Josie) before ending; this marriage is currently being researched.

Her third, fourth and fifth marriages were to John Drew, Unknown and Tom Tipton respectively, but neither marriage issued children; these marriages are currently being researched.
