Man Stricken In Park Dies

George B. Logan Suffers Paralytic Stroke Friday; Dies This Morning

George B. Logan, aged 71 years, a resident of Mansfield for 25 years died this morning at his home, 470 South Main Street, following a stroke of paralysis, with which he was stricken while walking across Central Park yesterday about noon.

He was removed to his home in an unconscious condition, and he failed to revive sufficiently to recognize any member of his family, death resulting this morning at 5 o'clock.

Mr. Logan was born in Hagerstown, Md., in May 1852 and came to Richland county when a mere lad, locating on a farm with his parents three miles south of the city. He grew to manhood on the farm and lived there until 25 years ago, when he took up his residence in this city.

He was married fifty years ago last May to Miss Alice Moore of this county, and the couple celebrated their golden wedding last year. Besides the wife, Mr. Logan is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Reed Banks and Mrs. Claude Zediker, both of this city. Also one brother, David K. Logan, of Pasadena, Cal., six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Arrangements for the funeral have not yet been completed.
