The sad news has just been received of the death of Mrs. Mary Stones on August 14 at her home in Geneva, Florida. Mrs. Stones was the widow of the late Rev. W. Stones, a former pastor of Lake Como Baptist Church; also, for some years a pastor of the Palatka Baptist Church and Geneva Baptist Church.
The funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Kyser, pastor of the Geneva Baptist Church. Interment was held in the Geneva Cemetery.
Mrs. Mary Stones was for many years a highly respected resident of Lake Como. She was the daughter of the late Rev. and Mrs. Abercrombe, former residents of Lake Como for many years. (Times-Herald Obituary dtd Friday, 25 Aug 1933.)
