Becker - Died, at 11:40 p.m. Monday, March 30, 1903, at the family residence, 116 West Carpenter street, of a complication of diseases, Charles H. Becker, aged 58 years, 2 months and 21 days. The arrangements for the funeral have not been completed.
Charles H. Becker was one of the prominent German residents of the city and was well known throughout Sangamon county. He had been a resident of the state for the last thirty-six years. He was prominent in local Republican politics and served two terms as supervisor from Capital township. Mr. Becker was proprietor of the Western hotel for ten years. He was prominent in the various German societies of the city.
The decedent is survived by his wife; six sons, Oscar, Arthur, Julius, Walter, Horace and Carl Becker; one daughter, Miss Clara Becker, and two sisters residing in Germany.
