She was born September 3, 1931 in Springdale, AR the daughter of Josiah and Mary Pennington McCurley. She was a homemaker and a retired employee of the University of Arkansas. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband William Lee Harris who died July 23, 1997, three brothers, Montie, Melvin and Heartsill McCurley, two sisters, Nettie Naramor and Joy Payne.
She is survived by one son, Randall Harris and his wife Mildred of Pettigrew, AR, one daughter Doreen Sykes of Baldwin, AR and two sisters, Verna Long of Joplin, MO and Cliffie Nalley and husband Jim of Tahlequah, OK, 10 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, October 7, 2008 at Baptist Ford Cemetery under the direction of Moore's Chapel.
Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Monday at Moore's Chapel.
