He was born June 30, 1895 in Rocklin, CA. He attended school in Klamath Falls and on Oct. 13, 1923, married Vivian Harris here. Mrs. Landis survives.
He worked for the Klamath County School District for some 20 years, first as custodian and bus driver at Henley and later as warehouseman at the county school headquarters.
He was a veteran of World War I and served in France. Mr. Landis was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Survivors in addition to the widow, include a daughter, Barbara Gossett, Klamath Falls; two granddaughters, Donna Barnett and Diane Duncan, Klamath Falls; threee great-grandchildren, Kathy Barnett, Michael Barnett and Annette Duncan, all of Klamath Falls.
