Daughter of W and M Hinshaw who were born in Tennessee. Born in Indiana and Aunt of the famous artist Glen Cooper Henshaw/Hinshaw. Glen lived with Mary and his other Aunt Eliza Hinshaw in Mechanicsburg as a young man and had a studio in the upper loft of Dr. J. Weeks Office. At the time, he specialized in portraits of the local villagers.
