Lowell B. Franklin was buried at Stilesville Cemetery, Stilesville Indiana. He was a Hendricks County Commisioner for twenty-four years; from 1949 to 1973. He also was a dairy farmer on the homestead of his grandparents. His parents were Alexander Franklin and Elizabeth Simmons Franklin. Lowell had two siblings, Benjamin Franklin and Cuba Dana Franklin Daily. He graduated from Clayton High School in 1922 and married his beloved wife Alice Charlene Clawson Franklin on October 3 1925. They were married for 59 years and Alice is buried beside him. They were the parents of two children, Sterling Lowell Franklin, and Mary Kathleen Franklin Zimmerman Storey. They also had five grandchildren, and four great-grandchilren. He is greatly missed by his family.
