Born September 13, 1923, in Lykens, Dauphin County, PA, he was a son of the late Joseph M. and Mabel J. Stuppy Romberger.
He was employed as a dishwasher for 37 years at the former Carldon's Restaurant in Nazareth, retiring in 1992. Prior to that, he worked at the former Mike Bucchi Shoe Repair in Nazareth and the former Nazareth Fairgrounds.
Joseph was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Nazareth. He was a life member of Nazareth Jacksonian Club, American Legion in Nazareth, and Nazareth VFW Post 4366.
Survivors include three sisters, Rose A. Fehr and her husband, Warren, of Nazareth, Miriam Meade of Elkins, West Virginia and Dorothy Kester of Hatfield, PA; nieces and nephews. Two sisters, Ada Romberger and Catherine Brink, both died earlier.
Services: 2 p.m. Friday in the George G. Bensing Funeral Home Inc., Moorestown, Pa. Call 1 p.m. to time of service Friday in the funeral home.
Interment will be in Hope Cemetery, Hecktown.
