Myrtis was the daughter of Tipp Gandy and Gertrude (Boyett) Mahan. She first married Elmer Archie Hubbard, and they had three children, Elmer, Paul, and David. She had six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren at the time of her death. Myrtis later married Mr. Charles Greening and was widowed; her third marriage was to Mr. Thomas Gormley, she was widowed again; she later married Mr. Edward St John. There were no children from any marriage except her first.
