Albany - (Special) - After a few days illness brought on by a stroke, Fred G. Alberston, 68, died last evening at 6:55 at his home in Exeter township.
The stroke was the second suffered by Mr. Alberston. He had his first stroke two years ago. He was born in Attica, Green county, Feb. 21, 1879. His father was Andrew Alberston and his mother was Christie Jacobson Alberston.
Mr. Albertson was married on Jan. 21, 1903 to Rose Zwickey in Orfordville. He farmed the Alberston homestead until five years ago when he retired and moved to Albany. He had been living with his only son, Harold, for the past two years.
The deceased is survived by his widow, one son, Harold of Exeter township; a sister, Mrs. Lena Lewis of Belleville, two brothers, Otis of Evansville and Gilbert of Attica. Three children, twin daughters, and a son preceded him in death.
He was a member of the Lutheran church of the Norwegian Settlement.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Lutheran church of the Norwegian Settlement, following private family rites at the home of Mr. Albertson's son, Harold, at 1:30. Rev. Stanley Gjervik of Orfordville will officiate at the services. Burial will be made in the Norwegian Settlement cemetery.
