Joseph Anthony Esposito, 84, of 213 Silver Creek Road, Greer, died in West Palm Beach, Fla., on Thursday, Jan. 8, 2004.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was a son of the late Michael Anthony Esposito and Mary Snow Esposito Feola. He was the husband of Elizabeth Jackson Esposito for 58 years.
Mr. Esposito served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II, and he achieved the rank of Lt. Col. during his 44 years of service in the Army Reserves.
Mr. Esposito was a dedicated employee with Conso Products for 65 years.
Mr. Esposito was of the Catholic faith and was a life member of the Knights of Columbus.
He founded the Joliet Chapter of UNICO, National in Joliet, Ill., and was the Grand Prior with the SMOTJ, NATO Chapter.
Mr. Esposito was preceded in death by a daughter, JoAnn Esposito Rogers.
A Vigil Service will be held Monday evening at 7 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown, with visitation to follow until 8:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church. Rite of Committal will be in Greenville Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Tamassee DAR School, P.O. Box 8, Tamassee, SC 29686, or Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic School, Library Fund, 2 James Dr. Greenville, SC 29605.
