Peggy Diane Lindblad was born on March 9, 1923 in McIntosh, Minnesota to parents Harold and Elizabeth (OâBrien) Lindblad. She grew up in McIntosh and graduated from McIntosh High School.
She married John Widseth on October 20, 1945 in Duluth, Minnesota. Peggy was a homemaker until she started work at the McIntosh Bakery in 1964, working there until 1973. At that time, she began work at the Hartz Store in McIntosh. John passed away on July 17, 1980. She continued her employment at Hartz until her retirement in 1983.
She was married to Charley Randall on July 23, 1983 and they lived in McIntosh. Charley passed away on July 16, 1999. Peggy lived in McIntosh all her life until she moved to Crookston in April of 2006.
She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in McIntosh. She enjoyed tending to her home and yard, music, friends, and the Minnesota Twins. She especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Peggy passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2008 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, North Dakota at the age of 85 years.
Survivors include her daughter, Jane (Mike) Aakhus of McIntosh; son, David (Mary) Widseth of Renton, WA; and stepson, Jack (Kathy) Randall of Cameron, MO; grandchildren, Heather (Hart) Wilson and Elizabeth (Dennis) Yarnell, both of Renton, WA, Mike (Angela) Lindseth of East Grand Forks, MN, Jonathan (Britt Ingunn) Randall of Bergen, Norway, Jennifer (Christopher) Kern of New Brighton, MN and Chase Gordon of Renton, WA; great grandchildren, Trevor Yarnell, and Steven and Christian Widman.
Also surviving is her sister, Dorothy Dockter of Crookston, MN; brothers-in-law, Wayne Downing of Crookston, MN, Arnie Plese of Victorville, CA; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, John Widseth and Charley Randall; and sisters, Madonna Downing and Kathryn Plese.
