ALBANY, WISCONSIN - Duane G. (Dewey) Albertson, age 26 of N7067 Co. X, Albany, Wisconsin, died on Sunday, January 21, 1996. He was born in Monroe on March 13, 1969, to Wayne Jr. and Jan (Leffingwell) Alberston of Albany. He was a graduate of Albany High School class of 1987, and also a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville in 1991 with a B.S. degree in Agriculture. He Married on February 6, 1993, in Dickeyville, Wisconsin to Tammy Herbst. He farmed in the Albany township and was a certified and licensed real-estate appraiser, and also a licensed auctioneer . He is survived by his parents, Wayne Jr. and Jan of Albany; paternal grandparents, Wayne Sr. and Elanor Alberston of Albany; and a maternal grandmother, Beatrice Leffingwell of Verona. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Thomas Leffingwell in 1970; paternal great grandparents, Otis and Jessie Alberston and Bill, and Evelyn Hartwig. Duane was a member of the St. James Catholic Church in Dayton, Wisconsin, the Albany Lions Club. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, January 25, 1996 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Albany. Father Ken Klink of St. James Catholic Church in Dayton will officiate. Burial will be in the Norwegian Cemetery in Albany Township. Friends may call from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 24, 1996 at the Bifulk Funeral Home in Albany. A memorial fund has been established in his name.
