Albert N. Blanquart, 89, of 910 Catherine St., a retired coal miner, died at 4:24 p.m. yesterday at Pekin Memorial Hospital, where he had been admitted Tuesday..

He formerly lived at 7603 S. Jefferson, Bartonville, more than 60 years, moving to Pekin last March..

He was born in Whatcheer, Iowa, May 5, 1882 a son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles (Dieu) Blanquart. He married Alpha Durham Jan. 28, 1903. She died March 3, 1871..

Mr. Blanquart was a member of Bartonville Methodist Church and United Mineworkers Union. He had worked 56 years as a coal miner..

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Julia Flier of Pekin, with who he resided, and Mrs. Pearl Wytcherley of Longville, Minn.; two sons, Charles and Joseph Blanquart, both of Bartonville, and 13 grandchildren..

He was preceded in death by four brothers, four sisters, one son, and two daughters..

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Stone Mortuary in Bartonville with the Rev. Sam Parker officiating. Burial will be in Mapleridge Cemetery, Mapleton..

Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
