Elmer Hugh Miller

August 12, 1862 – April 12, 1930

Wasco County, Oregon DC #55:
Elmer Hugh Miller was born in Minnesota and lived in Chickasaw Co., Iowa when young. He married to Belle DeGroff on November 5th, 1891 in Howard Co., Iowa. He died in the Mid Columbia Hospital in The Dalles of liver cancer. His daughter Nettie B. Hayes of Grass Valley, Sherman Co., Oregon signed the certificate. This shows he was buried in Dallas, Oregon on April 15th, 1930, probably near his son Frank W. Miller. His wife named as Kittie Bell on the certificate, but she's always shown on census as Belle. Elmer was a sawmill worker. The family came to Oregon from Nebraska before 1920 settling in Polk County and then moved to Grass Valley in Sherman County where daughter Nettie lived.
