He was born June 22, 1922, on a farm near Hoxie to Claude H. and Veva (Horner) Adams.
He married Eileene Holmes Dec. 18, 1945, in Hoxie.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; four sons, Eldon Adams, Carpinteria, Calif.; Edward Adams, Humboldt, Terry Adams, Liberal, and David Adams, Pea Ridge, Ark.; a daughter, Sheryl Kaufman, Wichita; two brothers, Claude Herbert Adams Jr., Los Angeles, Calif., and Lyman Adams, Hoxie; two sisters, Dorothy Stembridge, Miami, Fla., and Rose Martin, Lee's Summit, Mo.; 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at United Methodist Church, Hoxie; burial in Hoxie Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. today at Mickey-Leopold Funeral Home, Hoxie.

Mr. Adams was born June 22, 1922, near Hoxie. He was a farmer.
