SPRINGDALE -- Terry Kemp, 61, died Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2008, in Springdale. He was born Jan. 26, 1947, in Dayton, Ohio, to Harold Utah Kemp and Pauline Kemp McClenahan. He was a high-voltage electrician at Veteran's Administration Hospital in Fayetteville and was a U.S. Navy veteran of Vietnam, where he served as a Special Services U.S. Navy Seal.
He is survived by his wife, Janis Kemp; two sons, Terry Larson of Henderson, Nev., and Eric Larson of Orange, Calif.; one daughter, Dionne Kemp of Orange, Calif.; one brother, Robert Kemp of Barstow, Calif.; two stepsons, Mark Shadwick of Lake Havasu City, Ariz., and Matthew Shadwick of Deloris, Colo.; and one stepdaughter, Crystal Lowe of Harrison.
Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2008, at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home and Crematory in Fayetteville with Danny Lowe officiating. Burial will be at Fayetteville National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Arkansas Sheriffs' Youth Ranches Inc., P.O. Box 3964, Batesville, 72503.
