E.W. (Van) Van Ostrand, 46, of Ingram, died Monday in the Veterans Administration Hospital. Funeral services will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel of the Kerrville Funeral Home with Elmer Moore officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio at 2:15 pm Friday.
He was born July 30, 1929, in Kerrville and was a carpenter. He was a member of the Junction Highway Church of Christ and was a veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors are his wife, two daughters, Glenda Alice and Sandra Van Ostrand, both of Ingram, one son, Butch Van Ostrand of Ingram, one grandson, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. E.D. Van Ostrand of Ingram, two brothers and two sisters.
