In Tappahannock, Essex County, Virginia, on Monday evening, May 11, 1874, SALLIE MYERS, wife of J. S. Williamson, and daughter of Capt. A. B. Adams, of this place, in the 30th year of her age.
She leaves a devoted husband, an infant babe, and many relatives and friends to mourn her loss.
May the offspring live to comfort the father in his pilgrimage through life and adorn those Christian virtues which characterized the dear departed mother, that in the life to come the little household may clasp hands in heaven, to meet to part no more.
The body of the deceased was brought to this place on Wednesday by the steamer Matilda, and the funeral services held at the Baptist Church on Thursday at 11 o'clock a.m. Her remains were followed to the cemetery by a very large number of relatives and friends.
