Brendan Thayne Coil was born January 6 1980, to Steven and Marilyn Larson Coil at Belleville, and died at the age of 10 years, seven months and 27 days.

He was in the fifth grade at Mankato Elementary School, and a member of the Program for Gifted Students. He belonged to the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Mankato, and the Boy Scouts of America.

He is survived by his mother, Marilyn; brother, Aaron, sister, Kristen; his grandparents, Franklin and Eula Coil, Ralph and Joyce Larson of Scandia; step-great-grandmother, Katherine Barber of Vancouver, Wash.

Funeral services were held Thursday, September 6 at the Mankato Junior-Senior High School, conducted by Pastors Ernie Larsen and Duane Holst. Interment was in West Lutheran Cemetery, Mankato.
