Victor was the 3rd born to George Milton and Mary Etta (Kendall) Spraggins. The year he was born his older brother and sister, William and Amanda, died in a house fire in Littles, Indiana. His sister Bertha was born in Birdseye Indiana in 1900.
In 1905 his father became so Ill with cancer that he was unable to work. He and his mother worked for the local chair factory and tended his grandparents, Jesse and Mary Jane Spraggins, farm to support the family. His grandmother died in 1905, his father and grandfather in 1908.
His mother married George Cox in Birdseye and years later married William Frantz in Richmond Indiana.
Victor Enlisted in the 17th Inf. on June 20, 1917,he was discharged June 4, 1920. After leaving the army, he married Sylvia Baker and became the father of 3 children George, Ray and Helen.
Sylvia died in 1943,Victor married Hazel M Keller in August 1945.
Victor was 5'7" tall with blue eyes and brown hair.
