Charlie A. McCullar, age 88 of Houston, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 29, 1999, at his residence. Mr. McCullar was born Nov. 23, 1911, in Houston County and had resided in Houston since 1937. He was a member of the Lindale Masonic Lodge and retired from the City of Houston.
Survivors include wife Ada McCullar of Houston; son John McCullar of Houston, grandsons Joshua and Jeremy McCullar, both of Houston; sisters Addie Willingham of Conroe, Dorothy Jordan of Kemah, Lucille Bryant of The Woodlands, Betty Lewis of Houston, Nell Amey of Belott and Juanita Agular of Florida; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services for Mr. McCullar were held Satruday, Jan. 1, at 2 p.m. in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Evers officiating. Interment followed in the Whitehead Cemetery.
