Ray Allen Abbott was born in Pasadena, Harris County, Texas on July 14, 1953. He was the third child of Marvin and Lucille Abbott. Ray had many accomplishments throughout his life including becoming an Eagle Scout, dedicated musician, business owner and top salesman. Some of his passions included being an avid golfer, dog lover and lifelong musician who loved playing his guitar for family and friends. He had the pleasure of playing along side BB King, Chubby Checker, Kenny Loggins and other noted musicians and entertainers. He also enjoyed playing a number of charity golf tournaments, attending the Texas Open and playing his weekly golf games. Ray was an IT salesman who excelled at his work. He was a consistent top salesman who especially enjoyed working on projects with the various Universities he helped serve. He also owned and operated several companies during the course of his life, as well as developed the website Amigo Golf.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Joan Marie Roesler Abbott and their three children, Kristin Marie, Austin Brown and Christopher James. Ray passed away after a valiant battle with cancer. During the summer of 2019 the cremains of his sister, Judith Carol Abbott Lowe were added to his grave site.
