Angela D. Fortugno Antonio

Angela D. Fortugno Antonio, age 86, passed away on Thursday October 16, 2008 at Churchman's Village, with her family by her side.

Born and raised in Wilmington, DE, during WWII she was an inspector at Dravo shipyards. Later, she devoted her life to home and family. She enjoyed bowling and also became a golfer with some success. She also enjoyed travels to Europe, cruises, and winter trips to Florida. She was an avid Phillies fan and would never miss a game. She loved having her family around her for holiday celebrations. Her outlook on life was always positive and she never complained.

She was predeceased in death by her parents, Antonia and Consolato Fortugno; her husband of 62 years A. Arthur Antonio; her daughter Susan Antonio Jolly; and her brother Phillip Fortugno. She is survived by her son, Arthur J. Antonio and his wife Trudy; her sister Jenny Maisano; and grandsons, Steven Antonio, Michael Antonio and William Jolly; and many nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Family and friends are invited to the Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, October 21, 2008 at 11:30 am at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 9th & duPont Sts, followed by burial in All Saints Cemetery. Calling hours for Mrs. Antonio are also Tuesday morning from 9:30-11am at the CORLETO LATINA FUNERAL HOME, 808 N. Union Street, Wilmington, DE.
