Arthur was the son of John Thomas Burroughs and Katy Gertrude Zimmerman Burroughs. Arthur was one of 7 children of this couple who survived. He was in the U.S. Navy during Worlrd War II. He married Rose Mary Liberto of Shreveport. He went to St. John's High School. He was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church. He was an electrician by trade but truly a talented craftsman. He loved golf. He and Rose lived on Catherine St. in Queensborough. They had no children but many nieces and nephews who loved them both.
