Mrs. Arlene M. Jepson died in Lincoln City June 26, 2004, at the age of 84.
Arlene was born in Gaston May 27, 1920, to Fred and Myrtle (Earl) Stryffeler, and attended grade school in Tillamook and high school at Laurelwood Academy in Forest Grove.
In 1940, she and Curtis Jepson were united in marriage in Gaston. Except for a few years in Eastern Oregon; Arlene lived her entire life in the Tillamook area. She was a member of the Kilchis Grange and a longtime 4-H leader. Mrs. Jepson worked as a prep cook for Fei Ying restaurant in Tillamook. She loved the piano, and played with the Sweet Adelines for years.
Arelene was preceded in her death by her husband, Curtis, in 1989, and by one son, Kelly Jepson.
She is survived by here seven children: Ronald Jepson of Portland; Karen Metcalfe of Newport, and Richard Jepson, Jeanine Finch, Teresa Kangiser, Michael Jepson and Dennis Jepson, all of Tillamook; and by 20 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
A graveside service will be Thursday, July 1, at 11:30 a.m. at Sunset Heights Memorial Gardens in Tillamook.
Arrangements are under the direction of Waud's Funeral Home.
