Scroggs and three siblings who died in infancy. Mary was married to Salem Devere Almegourd, son of Marten Jense Almegourd and Lois Emma (Sparks) Almegourd, on 31 March 1940 at Joplin, Missouri. Mary and Salem had no children and for much of their marriage they lived in Miami, Ottawa County, Oklahoma. Both died in Miami, OK. with their burials taking place near their parents and families.
