A requiem mass for Mary A. Keeney, age 63, will be held at Holy Family Cathedral on Monday at 10 a.m. Monsignor Francis A. Murphy will officiate. Burial will be in Anchorage Memorial Park in the Pioneer Section. A visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Evergreen Memorial Chapel. A Rosary will be recited at 5:30 p.m. Saturday at the Chapel.
Mrs. Keeney died Thursday evening at Providence Hospital. She was born May 2, 1915 in Chicago and had lived in Anchorage 30 years. She was a member of Holy Family Cathedral and the Pioneers of Alaska and was secretary to former Alaska Governor Ernest Gruening and attorney Wendel Kay. She was also a court reporter for Justice Anthony Dimond.
She leaves a sister, Elizabeth Chant of St. Louis, Missouri. Memorials may be made to the Alaska Cancer Association. Funeral arrangements were made by Evergreen Memorial Chapel.
