She resided in the city all her life and was a devoted communicant of St. Charles Church. Her focus in life was her family, and she particularly enjoyed the time spent with her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband Paul, and her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter Sharon, a sister, Mildred Dunnigan, six brothers, John, James, William, Leonard, Harold, and Leo Downey, and a granddaughter, Courtney Kessaris. Surviving are a daughter, Claire Kessaris of Woburn, and a son, Sgt. Paul Connolly, Jr. of the Woburn Police Dept., of Woburn; three sisters, Lyola Downey of Waltham, Elizabeth Busa of Marlboro, Dorothy Daly of Woburn, and a brother, Roy Downey of Woburn; her grandchildren, Kenneth III, Christopher, and Kelly Kessaris, and John, Douglas, Shannon, and Rachel Connolly. She was also the dear mother-in-law of Frances Connolly of Woburn, and the devoted aunt of many nieces and nephews.
