Gary Lee Wright, Sr., 66, of Old Trolly Rd., Summerville, SC, husband of JoAnn Simmons Wright, died October 18, 2008 at Summerville Medical Center.
Mr. Wright was born July 23, 1942 in Richmond, VA, son of Grover Wright of Mechanicsville, VA and the late Lelia Gary Wright. He was retired from the US Navy. After retirement Mr. Wright worked for the State Ports Authority, Lieber Correctional Institute and J.W. Aluminum in Security. Gary was deeply loved and will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

Survivors, including Mrs. Wright, are three sons, Gary Wright, Jr. and his wife, Robin, Billy Wright and his wife, Sheila, and Doug Wright, all of Goose Creek; one step-son, William Arthur and his wife, Debbie of Summerville; one step-daughter, Angelia Carpenter and her husband, Brian of North Charleston; nine grandchildren; two brothers, Keith Wright and Chris Wright, both of Virginia; and one sister, Brenda Meharg of Virginia.
He was predeceased by one sister, Donna Lundsford.
