HAZEL L. SMITH, 82
SALEM - Hazel L. Smith, 82, of South Lincoln Avenue died at 8:20 a.m. Wednesday, August 7, 1996, at home.

She was born in Parkersburg, W.Va., June 29, 1914, a daughter of the late Frank and Stella Sams Lockhart.

She lived in the Salem area 40 years and attended the First United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Willard E. Smith, whom she married April 21, 1977; three daughters, Gladys Drotleff, Betty Unger and Thelma Poage of Salem; a brother, Herbert Lockhart of East Liverpool; three sisters, Opal Claus of Salem, Lenora Wolfe of San Jose, Calif., and Lura Logston of Chester; four grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the Stark Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.
