Resided in Bozrah, CT. Enlisted on August 24, 1861, as a private in Co. H, 7th Connecticut Infantry, and was mustered in on September 5, 1861.
He re-enlisted in the company on December 22, 1863, and was killed in battle at Bermuda Hundred, Virginia, on June 17, 1864.
