William Anderson Armstrong was a Methodist minister, retiring in 1931. According to Marjorie B. (Schell) Armstrong he preached at several small community churches in Northern California over the years, churches such as Taylorsville, Greenville, Yuba City and Meridian. The Meridian Methodist Church records indicate he was the pastor there in 1929, however, no records could be found regarding his services at the others. It appears that he was not and ordained pastor but acted as a lay pastor, traveling where ever needed. - Harold Eugene Armstrong - 10-31-07

He passed away in the Butte County Hospital in Oroville, California, on March 11, 1960.
