Mary C. Rothman
Mary C. (Gross) Rothman, 96, a resident of Westbridge at Wyndemere Retirement Village in Wheaton for 12 years, died Monday, April 17, 2006, at her residence. She was born March 24, 1910, in Harrisburg, Pa.
She was a high school librarian. She graduated in 1931 from Bucknell University with a bachelor's degree and in 1932 with a master's degree in English. She received her master's in library science from Columbia University in New York. She was an avid reader with a deep interest in art history. She was a member of the Art Institute Associates, St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Glen Ellyn, a volunteer with the Glen Ellyn Food Pantry and volunteer driver for FISH.
She is survived by her daughters, . . . [two]; grandchildren, . . . [three]; and great-grandchildren, . . . [five].
She was preceded in death by her husbands, William F. Yust [1909-1945] and Nathan L. Rothman [1904-1964].
A memorial service will take place at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, April 22, at Westbridge, 500 Wyndemere Circle, Wheaton. Chaplain David Anderson and the Rev. George Smith will officiate.
Inurnment private at St. Mark's Episcopal Church Columbarium, Glen Ellyn.
