Mrs. Marvine Hanke
Mrs. Marvine Hanke, daughter of Mrs. Viola Howard and the late Simon Howard, died Monday, August 22, at 2:40 a.m. at St. Joseph's hospital in Highland, where she was a patient since Thursday, August 18th. She was 30 years old. She was born in Collinsville on August 4, 1919, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Simon Howard. In 1937, she was married to Henry Hanke, Jr., who died while in service, in January, 1945.
Funeral services were conducted at 2:30 p.m. wednesday, by Rev. R.H. Mornhiweg, pastor of Friedens Evangelical and Reformed church Interment was made in the City Cemetery in Troy. The pallbearers were Lester Adelhart, Ed Gunnewig, Wilbur Kleuter, Gene Adams, G.A. Shaffer, and Gene Hodap.
She is survived by her two sons Henry (Junior) and Jimmy, her mother, Mrs. Vila [sic] Howard, a twin sister, Miss Marvline Howard, of Troy, and a brother, Clarence Howard, of Collinsville.
