VALLEY -- Mr. LaFayette Aaron, 75, of Valley died Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2007 at his residence.
Funeral services are planned for Friday, Feb. 16, at 3 p.m. at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley with the Revs. Mike Newman and Mike Densmore officiating. Burial will follow at Fairfax Cemetery.
Mr. Aaron is survived by his wife, Daisy Aaron; his children, Donna (Melvin) Pike of Valley and Karen Stone of Lanett; his grandchldren, Kristie Pike and Jeff Nelson and Daniel (Krystal) Pike; his great grandchildren, Cason Pike and Callie Pike; two sisters, Jewel Bennett and Mildred Cotney; and two brothers, Andrew (Lurline) Aaron and Marshal (Helen) Aaron.
Born May 22, 1931 in Langdale, Mr. Aaron was the swon of the late Mary Humphrey Aaron and A. W. Aaron. He was a Souther Baptist minister, serving at Pleasant Hill, Midway, Victory and Shiloh Baptist churches. He was retired employee of West Point Steven Fairfaax Mill with 47 years of service with the company. Mr. Aaron was an avid gardner and loved people. Mr. Aaron was a member of Grace Baptist Church and Woodmen of the World. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Jack, Leroy and Wissey Aaron.
The family will receive friends Thursday, Feb. 15 from 6 until 9 p.m. at Johnsonb Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley.
