LANESBORO--S. Henry Bailey, 80, of 13 Grove Ave., died Friday night in Pittsfield. Born in Bray County Wicklow, Ireland, he lived in Pittsfield 40 years and in this town 29 years. He was a welder at General Electric 30 years, retiring in 1960. He was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church, the GE Quarter Century and Pensioners Clubs, a 50-year member of the Pittsfield Lodge of Masons, a 3rd Degree Mason and a member of the Scottish Rites Bodies. His wife, the former Mary McMillan, died in 1977. He leaves two sons, Donald A. of Dodham, Ala., and S. Henry III of Pittsfield; a daughter, Esther Durbeck of San Jose, Calif.; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The funeral will be Tuesday at Wellington Funeral Home Tuesday with burial in Tyringham Cemetery.
