. Betty L. Nelson, 79, passed away, Tues. April 29, 2008. Betty was born January 6, 1929 in Russell Co., KS the daughter of Lester and Effie (Myers) Kincaid. She married Jack Nelson in 1965*. He preceded her in death in 1988.
. Betty was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church and worked as a bookkeeper for several insurance companies and Scott Mortgage Company. She most recently worked for Walmart.
. She is survived by her son, Steve Goodson and his wife Diane, daughter, Carol Rodenbaugh and her husband Paul; grandchildren: Zonas Niwa, Brandi Niccoli and her husband Tony; Crystal Montgomery and her husband David; Danielle Wolf and her husband Chris; Nelson Rodenbaugh; great grandchildren: Chansea Montgomery, Kylee Niccoli, Dylan Wolf, Kassidee Niccoli, Dalton Wolf; a brother, Jerry Kincaid and his wife Shirley and numerous nieces and nephews.
. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Patty Niwa; her sister, Anna Marie Crawford and her brother, Eugene Kincaid.
. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home, 2801 SW Urish Rd, Topeka KS 66614. Memorial service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Inurnment will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday at Mount Hope Cemetery.
