She was the daughter of James Curry and Polly Cooney. Married Jacob Cunningham May 6, 1838 in Mercer County, KY.

Polly Jane inherited a share of 600 acres from her father on Grape Vine Creek in Mercer County, KY, which they sold on May 7, 1845. About three years later they moved to Brown County, IL, and shortly after that to the adjoining Adams County. They farmed there until Apr 1871 when they came to Ross Township in Cherokee County, KS, probably with their son Andrew Jackson Cunningham.

They had one child not linked to this memorial:
1. William Cunningham (1949- ), died young, Mercer County, KY.
